I am a general mechanic by trade. Hvac is not my area of speaclity. I am in process of building our tetirement home. So far we have installed a nordice dx 5 ton geothermal water to water heat pump. for our loops we have 5 loops of 1/2" copper tubing 350'. We have a superstor in direct 40 gallon water heat. We have a 60 gallons electric finishing tank but are hopiing the desuperheater will keep the electric back from coming on. We have 5 mainfolds with 19 loops of 1/2" pex 333' long. I am install duct work as we also have a nu-air enerboss with hot water coil, cold water coil, hrv, and seprate exhaust for wet rooms. The heat pump has 1" coming out of it, the manifolds acept 1" copper. I want to know how big to make the copper between the heat pump and manifolds. Also the enerboss will get hot nad colc water fom the heat pump. Anyone know of any book thats will help to install this system and troubled shoot down the road. So far I'm looking Residental Hydronic heating I=B=R, and Heat pumps. Would also like to know of any home based course on heat pumps and radiant heatin thanks.
