trane direct return trap

replacing a boiler, two pipe wet return. the system is a trane steam system. installed and fired with coal originaly, gas fired boiler installed in the early 50's. my problem is the direct return trap was thrown out with demo. would like to get my hands on one or cuurent equivlent. any idea's on how to keep the system original.

You can get by without it
though I would certainly never use that demo crew again!
Instead of a Pressuretrol on the new boiler, use a Vaporstat that cannot be set higher than 1 pound. I think the Honeywell model# is L408J1009. Set it to 8 ounces or so, this will keep the pressure low enough that the Return Trap won't be needed.
