I saw this today about making ethanol from trash. Burning trash with incomplete combustion to make CO as part of the ethanol production process. Interesting idea and the numbers being tossed about are impressive.
It's interesting to see what American ingenuity can come up with when the price of fuel gets to what it is now.

I hope these folks are successful. My price per therm has jumped from under a dollar to over $1.50 per therm and rising. The demand for natural gas is going to continue to rise at a fast pace.

Interesting
In the begining of the petro revolution. Gasoline was a waste by product all that was used were kerosene, and diesel. Until the invention of the gasoline combustion engine.
I have no doubt after our qwest to put a man on the moon in a decade....even though some would believe it was a conspiracy. Our petro quandry is quite solvable. IF certain entities would just get out of the way, and let it happen. There are so many avenues to pursue. This one kills two birds with one stone!
