Steam Systems Vacation Shutdown

During Grandma's two week vacation should we completely shut-off her small one-pipe steam system? At this time of year this is how she receives her hot water. We would be saving fuel, however, letting the boiler get completely cold Iam told is not a good thing. Her boiler is a Utica Starfire cast iron wet base, 1971 vintage. All replies are appreciated. Grandma says thanks also.

the aquastat down rather than turning the switch off. Will keep it warm and dry but not hot.The boiler is not that old if it's a Starfire, mid 80's at the oldest.
