Uh oh! Not exactly what was claimed in the last thread about flue temp.

    efficiency

    Did you ever wonder why all furnaces mfd. before the government got involved were 80% efficient? I figured that with all the different brands and styles of heat-X one of them would be at least 1% more efficient. I copied this article from Handbook of Air Conditioning Heating and Ventilating by Strock, Industrial Press.
