steam radiator relocate or remove?

I am about to remodel a kitchen and need to remove or find a new location for a steam radiator. This is one of nine radiators on a one pipe system with 2 mains. The boiler was replaced about 4 years ago and seems appropriatly sized for the system. Will removal of this radiator cause problems in balancing the system? What limits should I consider if I attempt to relocate? By the way, a new pellet stove is going in to provide supplimental heat to this area.

Relocate it
so the room will have enough heat when the stove isn't running. A thermostatic vent can shut the rad off automatically when the stove is on.
It's probably possible to find a radiator with the same capacity but a different shape than what's there. This would give you some more flexibility.
Make sure the rad supply line has proper pitch, so the rad will heat properly without banging. Also make sure the steam mains are properly vented, this will minimize any balancing problems. Have a steam pro do this if you're wary- you can locate one on the Find a Professional page of this site, under Resources at the top of this page.
