Forced circulation boilers

Hi, I'm studying for a BPI test and am on a vertical learning curve at the moment. Could someone tell me a little about forced circulation boilers; high mass vs. low mass? And what a gravity feed boiler is? There's a de-rating (multiplier) factor that has to be used to get their Steady State Efficiency, but I'm still on square one as to their basic dynamics. Thanks!

High mass is a cast iron boiler, and low mass is a copper fin type, basically. Gravity means the water heating makes a natural convection and the water flows from the top of the boiler through the pipes and back to the bottom with no pump. forced just means pumps do the circulation work. each boiler has it's ideal flow requirement. Go to the online store and check out the books.
