LEED AP for a P&H firm?

My boss has asked me to research obtaining a LEED AP for our mid-sized P&H firm. I'm wondering if it will be beneficial (other than education) for our company. We do not have an engineer on staff but we do mostly commercial work and it seems more and more of the municipal/government jobs are seeking LEED certification and he believes that a LEED AP would benefit us when bidding.

What does everyone think?
