2008 Denver Westock

The Berry is actually in Velva, a couple of towns southeast of Minot. But I think the closest bar is in Minot, or maybe Sawyer.....

    I've been wondering ever since...

What happened between the time I carried the bloodied, drunk chick (not with our party) who'd hurled on the floor and back of her almost equally drunk escort up to her room and when Mark Hunt and I came back inside after a couple smokes?

The bartender thanked me for handling a nasty situation immediately after the drunk chick incident. When Mark and I came back in he was saying, "I'm calling the police--can you control these guys?" I did nothing--knowing I could do nothing with a bunch of drunk, opinionated, passionate plumbers but also saw nothing out of line. I've been a partner (and previous bouncer) in a bar for nearly two decades and couldn't understand why the bartender was so upset.

    What on earth happened?

    Wetstock

Sorry I can't help you Mike. I spent most of the weekend in my hotel room fighting off the flu. Otherwise I would probably have been in the middle of it - whatever it was!

    Beats me

But I do remember hearing that when we walked back in from the smoke break.

I don't think that hotel was prepared for what descended upon them.

    wetsock 2009

to prevent this from happenning again, wetsock 2009 should be held on the 3rd floor of the berry hotel, minot nd.the weather and the neccessity of helping the owner restore the orig one pipe steam system will prevent any hanky-panky from interfering with technical conversations.--nbc

    minnow or whynot

outsiders like us need to know how to pronounce the name.
the orig french trappers name would rhyme with minnow but now the pronunciation has changed to rhyme with "why not" and why is that?--nbc

    I heard about some guy

that carried the drunk lady up to her room from Dave Yates (the morning after), didn't know it was you Mike.

All I remmember (vaguely) was getting into a conversation about religion with Mark Hunt, you and Brad White when I had to exit the restuarant (thank's again Brad W.)

    Guess I peaked to early!!

  • pikes peak

lots of folks peaked early that eve & I found myself hanging with the younger jet-set late in the wee hours after all the old farts (like me) had long retired.

Seeing that guy drop his gal like a sack of potatoes at the elevator was a real shocker. Mike stepped in where the drunken husband couldn't and rendered much needed assistance. Biggest worry was for her safety given that the jerk she was with seemed to not give much of any care to her well being.

As for the hotel tarbender wanting to call the cops? Don't know what that was all about because everyone was in-line as far as I could tell. Loud? Yes. Having a blast? Yes. Too much fun? Nope. Just right I thought.

    Didn't Mark Hunt join NAMBLA?

Johnny can still Walker as long as he stays black.
