Shakes the clown. Bobcat Goldthwait, terrible, turned it off after 20-30 minutes.

    Parody of other thread

    Worst movie ever?

Try "Meet the Spartans" -- a rip-off parody of "300 Spartans."

My wife and I sat down to watch this rented megabomb last night with our teenage son. He was the first to leave the room. The movie was designed to appeal to a few teenagers with an odd sense of humor. We all stopped watching it before it was even half over. Call me a fuddy duddy, but I just didn't get the humor. Thank goodness it was a freebie throw-in with another rental or I would have asked for my money back.

    Don't bother renting it.

    Plan 9 From Outer Space

Has to be worse. The phony sets, the rubber octopus and a morphine addicted over the hill Bela Lugosi make this a all time classic for stoners and bad movie lovers...

I wouldn't be surprised if you never heard of this movie. It's 1965 Bollywood at it's worst. It's an Indian movie with occasional subtitles. The opening scene was actually included in the recent film Ghost World, another treasure. We actually like the opening dance number. I can't describe it, you'd have to see it. The rest of the movie is hilarious because it's so bad. I recommend altering your state of being first!

    Killer Clowns from Outer Space

That movie made me look at clowns in a whole different light -- really bad.

    Killer Clowns!

Their space ship looked like a circus tent! That's a classic! has anyone heard of "From Hell It Came" The monster Tabanga, a killer spirit reincarnated as a scowling tree stump, comes back to life and kills a bunch of natives of a South Seas island.

I own it and a proud to say it! Even as a kid I thought, why can't they out run a tree?

    Hmmmmmmmm

Maybe not "the worst ever" but Caddy Shack II totally sucked.

Here are a couple that BOMBED at the box office and were, in fact, quite bad. So bad that I laughed.

"Ishtar" with Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty

"Water" with Michael Caine, Jimmy Walker, Billy Connolly and a few others.

    "Jaws" 2 - 100

Indiana Jones Crystal Skull comes to mind. The initial scene was so ridiculous and so obviously based on a video game that for the first time ever I walked out of a movie.

Eraserhead, Grease and Saw series are high contenders.

    By comparison,

    The Godfather part III.

    We've developed a drinking game to G3.

Every time they say Joey Zaza (a completely made up, BS Hollywood name that they say 8,000 times in the film) you gotta drink.

No one makes it to the end.

    Back in the mid 70's

was a movie that was meant to be bad. The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. I remember we all got primed and blown away to watch it and still fell asleep it was so bad. The only part I remember that was a little funny was a goverment agent infiltrated the army of killer tomatoes dressed in a tomato costume. He was in and would not have been discovered except at Dinner he asked someone to pass the Ketchup. Whoops! WW

    :-)

I actually thought that was a pretty funny movie.

I think you need to be in the proper frame of mind when watching it. Half a dozen beers works........
  • Without question.....

My sister-in-law and her sister, my bride, twisted my arm to go see a movie - Broke Back Mountain. My sister-in-law said, afterwards, she could feel my anger radiating through her sister. Worst GD movie I've ever seen.

It's funny how different we all are

I get: Napoleon Dynamite and Raising Arizona and find them hilarious and would never put them in the worst category. Another great line from Raising Arizona "Son, you got a panty on yer head"

    Both of them

I LOVE "Napoleon Dynamite" and "Raising Arizona". And "Joe Dirt", too. They all seem to fall into that list of movies that people seem to either love or hate.

you can't stand him because he's not funny and he's being force-fed to you by Hollywood?

    Roland wins the prize!

Man, I cannot stand Adam Sandler. The public has been brain washed that this guy is an entertainer of any sort. Hard to choose btw his flicks but I almost killed myself for wasting the time to watch Waterboy. Ugh! His baby talk makes me puke...

No, not what I felt like doing, just the choice between "Eraserhead" and "Ishtar".

Julie Delpy's recent "Two Weeks in Paris" had the most banal, unlikable characters in memory.

    The Worst makes me laugh

although it wasn't intended as a comedy. My vote goes to:

    Queen of Outer Space

Made in 1958 this sci-fi thriller (!?) stars Zsa Zsz Gabor as the most intelligent scientist on Venus. This clueless bunch doesn't notice her thick Hungarian accent any more than they notice that the monsters are made of cardboard. Actually, its hilarious in that 50's bad sci fi sort of way!
