If it sounds to good to be true ??

Should we protect people from them selves ??

IS everything some one elses fault ??

If you make 2400.00 a month and your morgage is going to 2100.00 a month ??? What does that tell you ? But people did it. Whos at fault ? The broker ?

    Sell outs...

When I first heard about Inbev's offer and Anheuser Busch's refusal, I thought possibly there was an American company that cared about something more than money. I was wrong. They just wanted more money.

On a positive note, Highlander Beer is again available from a revived Missoula Brewing Company.

    Grain Belt is back too.

Can Butte Special be far behind? ;-)

    I read somewhere

that this means Sam Adams is now the largest American owned brewery

    Googled it...

The New Largest Top Three American Breweries are:

    1. Boston Beer Co. (Sam Adams) - Boston, MA

    2. D.G. Yuengling and Son Inc. - Pottsville, PA

    3. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. - Chico, CA

Not the big three one would have expected a few years ago.

Where did you find that list.

I want to find out where our local brewing company, Flying Dog Beer, stands. Also Saranac Beer company in NY, and also Magic Hat, in Vermont. WW

Unfortunately, the website I found only mentioned the top three.

    A russian company, Severstal,

recently bought the big steel mill at Sparrows Point in Baltimore. That makes two and they are building another plant. The dollars continued decline makes stuff here more attractive to foreign investment.

WE are in the midst of the begining stages of a VERY crazy

Roller coaster ride in America, but I believe when the storm is over (could be a decade of this crap), we will have grown tremendously, learned MOUNTAINS of knowledge, and "re-invented" ourselves if you will. Personally Scott, this makes me sick...and a B-16 accompanied MANY a ride home on the train when I worked in NYC w/ the Union. I am leaving for Europe in a few days with dollars that are not worth much right now - that hurts in more ways than one. You know, I agree with what Phil Gramm said the other day to a large extent: many, many Americans have become Whiners....spoiled. pampered. As Hicksville Boy, Billy Joel sang: "...you've got no scars on your face and you CANNOT Handle PRESSURE!!!!!" These same people B---- and complain how horrible the economy is, but I don't see them NOT sending the kids to camp, missing Friday night dinner in Town, latest electronic device or flat screen TV. Me thinks we are in for a big correction...and...we NEED it. Atleast Belgium is NOT a Communist Country with no civil or politcial rights...and maybe Budwesier will taste better. I am not HAPPY with ANY of the changes in the last few years in this regard, but we shall overcome. Mad Dog

    Dog I agree

I am an optimist and I hope this gives some people slap in the face. More the economy than Budweiser.

Bud, who cares. I think its swill and has been for years. My father in law read that Bud was so popular because it was every ones second choice. " Give me a ******. NO ? O.K. then give me a Bud ". Could be ..

We as a country need to take off the panties and get back to what mad this country Great. Hard Work and sacrifice.
This whole thing of bailing out cry babies who bought homes they knew they couldn’t afford and knew was too good a deal to begin with, gets me cranked up. Ya they should have stopped the lenders but they should have stopped snake oil salesmen also. Buyer bewares and stops whining.

Enjoy your Europe trip. Just went through that with the exchange rate in April. It's best just to forget the rate and have a good time. While you're there make sure you try a "real" Budweiser, Budvar brewed in Czech Rebublic. Prague had the best beer in Europe by the way if you're a lager fan.

Have a safe trip, Tom G

    But this is not new.

We began down that path a long time ago. Unfortunately it is too late to do otherwise.

The lenders are a protected breed.

    Take a look at this:

    I suppose this could apply

to the plumbing and heating and AC and radiant field as well. Oh, how about the auto industry? And I forgot, the Enron type of business too where California got taken for a ride. Someone tell CA to stop whining.....

Go back and read it again

Where did I say to bailout? I merely pointed out that your philosophy applies to all business and trades, including yours. The Enron example was just a biggie that applied to energy which does impact your business.

In fact we only bailout the finance companies and investment houses because they have the appropriate influence in DC. Our energy policy is done behind closed doors and has critically hurt the entire nation. As energy goes, so goes everything.

When you are drowning, someone will be sure to toss the life ring close to you. This way you can participate in saving your own life since this will be a good experience for you.
