Funniest Movie Ever

Arthur is waaaaaaaay up on my list...

Why?

I never drink. No one in my family ever drinks.

That's great! You probably never run out of ice your whole life!

I don't drink because drinking affects your decision-making.

You may be right. I can't decide.

    It's a Tie

It's a tie between "Airplane" and "Blazing Saddles" for me.

"Oh boys....looky here what I got."

"Where are all the white women at?"

    or

"MAY DAY! Why, that's the Russian New Year! We'll have a big parade and serve hot hor d'oeuvres..."

    I can't decide.

    Arthur

No words, but the scene where he's at Linda apt and he's trying to balance his drink on the fender. I crack up every time. Family Guy did the same thing with Stewie as the drunk.

    and "Oh, you're a hedge!"

Is as funny as ANY movie mentioned here. Guaranteed! Research those lines.

Isn't this fun? Isn't fun the best thing to have? Don't you wish you were me? I know I do.

    Veddy Nice!

    Borat!

But then again I have an odd sense of humor!

That's what my Wife tells me.

    Jim

There was an error rendering this rich post.

  • No particular order...

Blazing Saddles (Alex Carras punching out the horse), Monty Python & The Holy Grail (She's a witch! Burn her!) Young Frankenstein (Puttin'on the Ritz), A Fish called Wanda (Jamie Lee Curtis and John Cleese in the apartment scene), and anything with WC Fields and all the Marx Brothers flix, and who can forget Larry, Moe & Curly? The one where they are building the house kills me every time, especially the scene of Curly trying to get the board thru the door! Hey! Dese pipes is filled wit' wire! Nyuk, Nyuk!

"O brother where art thou" always makes me laugh, and "knocked up" was really funny. We liked "hairspray" and "stranger than fiction".

    I can't get enough

of Oh Brother. "We're in a tight spot." and "they turned Everet into a horny toad." The CD for the movie sound track is super fantastic too. I went to school in the mountains of Western MD where I grew to love bluegrass/gospel music. One of my favorite albums is John Hartforts Aeroplane, Produced and recorded in one day by David Bromberg. (David Bromberg before he started his solo career was Bob Dylan's first electric guitarist when he made the shift from folk to rock.) John Hartfort has an instrumental recording on the soundtrack of Oh Brother that he recorded just before he sucummed to cancer. Sorry I'm off track and running on. Ack! WW

    Old School

Old School, The 40 Year Old Virgin, and Tommy Boy are definitely my top three.

    Heard this on Family Guy

Stewie: I'm the dog. I'm well read and have a diverse stock portfolio. But I'm not above eating grass clippings and regurgitating them on the rug.

Brian: I'm a pompous little antichrist who will abandon my plans for world domination when I grow up and wind up settling with a rough trick named Jim.

    Funniest Movies

'A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum'. My favorite character is Captain Gloriosus.

'The General' with Buster Keaton. If you have even a passing interest in steam locomotives, you MUST se this movie.

    'Uncle Buck' with John Candy.

    Anything John Candy

I almost forgot about Uncle Buck " I'm Uncle Wart " and " Here's a quarter, go have a rat gnaw that thing off your face " - Truly one of his finest

The Great Outdoors had some moments also, the first time I saw the water skiing scene I almost wet myself

    All the classics...

You can't beat Knentucky Fried Movie (Christ, did a cow #*%&*# in here?; Fistful of Yen; That's Armageddon by Samuel R. Bronkowitz, Danger Seekers, the list goes on!)

Already mentioned the best of the rest, with the possible exception of The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Didn't think it was that funny the first time I saw it, but it keeps getting funnier and funnier!

And for dark humor, you can't beat Pulp Fiction. For some strange, twisted reason, that movie cracks me up (What does Marcellus Wallace look like?)

Most recent? Idiocracy Best satire I've ever seen. Gets better with repeated watchings.

All time? Young Frankenstein Still makes me laugh out loud every time I see.

Contenders? Auntie Mame Fastest, wittiest dialogue I've ever heard.

Borat I never laughed harder. Great in a theater full of people doing similar but somehow painful to watch on video.

South Park-Bigger, Longer and Uncut Far too crude for many, but hilarious with some of the best songs ever.

    J.B.,

How Bout'..Catholic High School Girls In Trouble...or Cleopatra Schwartz?

    My favorite....."The Daredevil"!

My girlfriend finds it odd that I laugh so much while watching Pulp Fiction....but I can't help it....IT IS FUNNY. (Tarentino has a sick and twisted sense of humor, that few people get)

BTW, she LIKES watching the Stooges with me on Sunday mornings....so she IS trying.

Timco.... Brazil....That would come from the mind of Terry Gilliam. He was a player in the Monty Python troupe....but also did most of the animation for the series.Katherine Helmond as a lead was pure genius. JCA

The best I've seen lately is a British film called Death at a Funeral, which was just released as DVD about 3 months ago. Hilarious.

    Two come to mind

Airplane and probably the funniest scene is from "Porky's" where the high school principal is listening to Miss Ballbricker describe the 'tallywhacker' as the coaches try not to laugh. Priceless.

Porkeys was funny, but I liked Fast Times at Ridgemont High better. Sean Penn was and is great....I can fix this, my dad is a TV repairman and he has an AWSOME set of tools...(while looking at a smashed up camero...

    How bout'

Napolian Dynamite. First time I saw it I didn't quite get it. Watched it with family awhile later and when everybody else is laughing, well, it's so stupid it just gets funnier and funnier!

Tommy Boy. When David Spade opens the car door at the gas station and it falls off, Chris Farley says: "What'd you dooooooo?" My wife still quotes that one to me every time I do something stupid! Ya, she get's lots of oppertunities!

Any of the Three Stoges. Loved 'em as a kid, still do! I was just telling my boys about the one with "no wonder they ain't got no water, these pipes is full of wires"!
