    Young Unit Heater

I am looking for heating capacity information on a very old Young Unit Heater. The model number is SH2598. Information on the heater itself or just a good place to look for information on old unit heaters would be a lot of help. Thanks!!!

    Is the heater

direct-fired, or does it run on a steam or hot-water system?

I used to be the rep

and I just went around the office looking for an old book. Sadly, we moved 5 years ago and none of the old Young literature made it. Young Radiator still exists, and you might have luck contacting them. The big downfall for Young was they were over-engineered. Stainless coils instead of copper made for an expensive, yet indestructable heat exchanger.

The unit runs on steam at around 2psig.

I think this unit dates from the late 40's or early 50's if that helps.
