Riteway RB-75 hot water boiler - need info

I just inspected a house with this Riteway hot water boiler in the basement to heat the house (forced hot water). Oil-fired, but also burning scrap wood, paper, etc. in large firebox. 28 years old. Thinking about replacing it with a modern and efficient gas-fired boiler. I understand Riteway is out of business, that it is hard to get repair parts, that this is not an efficient unit, and is a big creosote generator (chimney fires). Any opinions from someone with experience with this unit?
