Home Addition Question: Underfloor radiant application

I should have thought of that, but didn't...thanks. Therefore, if I then go with the crawl space approach what would be the recommended insulation application for that crawl space area? Keep in mind, that the small crawl space area, is adjacent to my existing heated basement with pex in the floor joists. Yet, from the main floor, it will appear as though the area is all the same.
In other words, if I use spray foam or 2.5" styro to insulate interior of the new block interior which tied is tied to the home, do I also need to lay foam board down on the ground in the crawl space? Does the gound need to be covered with insulation and will foam board similar to what I used under my basement concrete slab work well?

Been awhile since here last but still plugging away on my home. I have retrofitted the entire home with Ultra Fin suspended inbetween the floor joists. However, I am now about to embark on the final home remodel project.
Our home has a recently remodeled basement. However, the new project will deal with only the main floor which already has the under floor Ultra Fin application. The front of our home goes straight across but at center jogs in 4 feet due to a 3 season porch inset into the main floor. I intend to do away with the porch entirely and bump the home out 4 feet by 13 feet in that area so it will be flush all the way across the front of the home.
My question: Since I have already pulled pex to the area in question druing basement project, I have 2 full runs available to heat the area which is only 52 square feet. This is over kill since I planned to add more space not subtract. Therefore I will only use and need one run...I believe.
However, since I need to dig new footings that will then align and meet the existing leading edge of the home, how should I go about heating then finishing off the new area if my existing flooring in the adjacent main floor area is older narrow strip 3/4" oak flooring.
1) Pour a slab with in floor pex and then lay the new oak over it???
2) Do a crawl space then insulate the interior block walls with styrofoam cover the dirt with styro then suspend the pex using ultra fin?
Could you all the feedback available as the project starts shortly.0 -
Is it connected to
the other room as the same zone? if so try to keep the floor construction the same. a small slab will perform different than a UF and may require different temperatures.
