I went with my 5 year old daughter on sunday. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie, not only for the story and message, but the cast of characters as well. What I especially liked was there was not much talking in the movie, you really had to pay attention to the animation, and no high priced celebrity voice overs.
Good movie! For all ages!

How could you
frequent this site and not go see the movie? I was surprised how PIXAR combined such a stark social commentary with it's usual cutesy characterizations. It's about the out of control consumerism bringing on the end of earth. The main character is a trash collecting robot who has been working alone for 700 years to clean up all the trash left behind by the humans who had to leave the planet because of high toxicity levels. I think many of us who care about the size of our carbon footprint should stop and see this thought provoking film.
