Comments on the EK system 2000 boiler

I had one installed 2 years ago next month (Sept.15) and we dropped down from 1230 gallons per year to 790, and it looks even better for the second year.

It has its fans and it has its detractors.

I love the seasonal efficiency (miles per gallon if you will) and the quietness.

I think the price would be equal to another brand that would require an ODR or similar control to approximate the EK's performance, so there'd be more labor involved.

There are many posters here who install them and know them first hand, so tap that experience and you'll get enough information to make an informed decision.

If you have bad water, ie lots of minerals, etc, you'll need to take that into consideration as it employs a flat plate heat exchanger, which can clog up if the water is bad.
