L.P. tanks and the regulators on Gas grills ??

I have questions ...

The boat has two L.P. bottles and his gas grill used a small propane can.

He bought a kit to have the gas grill use the same bottles as the galley stove. The two large bottles have a pressure regulator.

Do I take the little gas grill off .. after the regulator or before ??

Is the little valve on the gas grill that sets the high/low flame ... is'nt it a regulator also ??

Are the larger bottles at the same pressure as the little ones ??

Thanks

Scott

    The regulator....

    Should be at the grill.

Those bottles are under some pretty high pressure....and the regulator is usually attached to the burners or temp. selection knobs.

As long as the connection matches...you shouldn't have to do anything. Chris

    LP onboard a boat?

HMMM...I would be wary. I think most boats have alcohol stoves to avoid the possibility of heavier-than-air LP settling in the bilge. Inboard gasoline engines need extra special precautions and ventilation for the same reasons.

    yup your right Dog

But alot of newer boats have L.P. piped to the stove and a safty shut-off valve installed.
