And now for the most IMPORTANT news of the week:

"Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will celebrate "National Doughnut Day" on Friday, June 6, by giving out one free doughnut to each customer who walks into its shops. The offer is not available to drive-through customers and will be limited to one per customer."

Now I ask you -- what can be more important than that? Belly up to the counter!

    * This notice does represent an endorsement by the poster although he believes these donuts are uncommonly good.

    I wonder where

I could get a cover for the Jeep spare tire with a picture of a doughnut on it. On the 18 inch rim it's a big tire and a picture would do justice to a national treasure.

How about a Large manufacturer of Beer having a special give away HUH ? HUH ?

One per customer would be fine by me. Certainy better for you then fried dough .... grain, hops, cleanwater, its all good.

Scott, if you saw my response to this on my web site it would be clear to see that great minds think alike.

    Belly I.D.s

Maybe we could send in photos of our bellies to the Wall and ask people to identify the owners of the proud postures -- possibly for a Wallie Belly Poster.

    Then again, maybe not.

    krispy-kreme

i wonder if they will count these giveaways as actual sales [creative accounting like that landed them in their present troubled "sell" state.]
if they spent more money on high quality ingredients and less on advertising hype they would do better--nbc

    Not necessarily Nicholas

Marketing is needed to sell even the best products (John Barba taught me that almost 10 years ago) and some really terrible products can sell really well if marketed correctly. That's not to say they wouldn't do even better if they improve their current product, but it's gotta be sold. Kevin
