Does anyone know of any free hydronic block type drawing/designing programs to download?

Free programs
Most of the free programs I use are worth every penny. Any number of programs can draw lines and shapes (MS Paint will do that), but when you say "design", I presume you mean a program that will do some of the calculations for you.
The very best program of that type is HVAC Solution, the pro version of which is about $1,500.
Now, I did say "most" free programs are worth every penny. One notable exception:
Taco has a partnership agreement with HVAC Solution who are out of Salt Lake City, UT. Taco offers what at one time and may still be a free limited version of HVAC Solution with the Taco OEM label. If not free (and not to commit them), it may be at a nominal cost.
The program uses intelligent objects and can size pipe, boilers and on my version, chillers, cooling towers, etc. But the Taco version is basically hydronic. I suggest you check out the taco-hvac.com web site and browse around.
You can always use a pencil though- I still do and find it kind of fun, actually. Frees up the right brain a bit.0 -
I was able to download the Taco program. Thanks Brad.0
