Replacing a Gravity Boiler

I'm looking to replacing the ancient gravity fed boiler in my home with (preferably)a wall hung condensing boiler. Provided that the new boiler is sized correctly are there any pitfalls in the design that should be avoided? I appreciate any and all feedback from anyone who has done this replacement.

Such a system is ideal for use with a wall-hung condensing/modulating boiler. Since it was still working under gravity, the conversion should prove especially easy with the only pipe work confined to the near-boiler.
Thorough, repeated flushing with appropriate cleaners and treatment products are highly recommended.
Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) are a wonderful addition to gravity conversion systems offering room-by-room independent temperature control more reliably and inexpensively than any other method.
Assuming you burn gas, you can expect fuel savings in the order of 50% with a properly installed, controlled and operated mod-con.0
