Plumbing Vent Gone Wrong

But I was at a new (to me) customers house Monday.
The installer put in a zoning system and did a fairly nice job, but there was a 'cold spot' upstairs on the floor at the base of the steps going to the 2nd floor. The ceiling had been sheetrocked, so I was looking across the ceiling from one side so we could know where to cut to find the loose ducting. We knew the area but didn't want to cut before we knew closer. The HVAC guy that did the install was no where to be found, the remodeler did everything else.
As I looked across the ceiling, I saw where the remodeler had tied the flex pipe from the bath fan into the vent pipe from the sewage pump for the downstairs bathroom. The only point I could make in his favor was the Tee was turned slightly up from horizontal and there was a 2X3 increaser(?) to allow for the flex to tie in.
I informed the homeowner and showed him what was done. His response was simple.
"He did a good job, it looks good and the price was right." Home inspector sees that, he's gonna laugh his a** off.
OMG.
