    Please wish a happy Birthday.....

To one of the funniest actor/comedian....writer, producer and director. Mel Brooks is 82 today.

Knowing you guys, there has to be a story or 2 about the first time you saw Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein or The History of the World.

I happen to like "Silent Movie". The big punch line that VERY few people even got from it....The ONLY word spoken in the ENTIRE movie, was a resounding, "NO!"....by Marcel Marceau. Pure genius!!!!

    Happy Birthday Mel. JCA

Just saw History of the world again the other night. Great stuff.

"Death was treated with a certain amount of awe."

    "Aaaaaawwwwwwwweeeeee."

    I love it!

Madelyn Khan as the queen....so many funny and clever lines....that slipped the sensors.

    Funny stuff.

I saw a rerun of an old "Mad About You" the other night...where Mel played Uncle Phil. "Deuteronomy"

There was no way that most of what was recorded...was written. He had Paul Riser in stitches, and there just wasn't any way to hide it...even after the editing.

He was also one of the head writers of the original "Get Smart" series, along with Buck Henry. I'll wait to pass judgment on the new movie.....Chris

He actually got producer credits for Get Smart as well.

LOVE that man. He's my favorite comedian, followed by the late, great George Carlin and then Bill Hicks
