reversing valve is bad
the reversing valve is bad in a heat pump i am going to work on. I replace as a matter of course the reversing valve when i am changing the compressor. This thing is burried in the back of the compressor compartment. My question is this due to the fact that i am going to have to plumb in a line dryer and a byflow filter should i just be proactive and swap out the compressor at the same time? If not i am going to chop a hole in the side of the unit to get to the valve. the compressor was $390 and i have one in stock in my inventory at the jail should i just go for it?0 -
