Ground Water Temps

anyone know a good resource for getting normal ground water temperature ranges, nationwide?

US Air Force data available on CD-Rom from NOAA is what I use. Runs about $75 last I checked. Great resource with thousands of locations world-wide. I have posted some of the PDF's in the past, for reference.

A rule of thumb though is the average annual temperature in any given area. That is usually within a degree of normal ground and ground water temperatures below frost-line. If a moving aquifer, this will vary a lot more though regardless of data source.

Geo-thermal manufacturer's should be able to provide you with a map of the US with ground water temps.

  • thanks to you both!
