How would you like to spend the 1st of July with your friend in the industry? I know I’d love to share my day with many of you!

A number of you have been writing to me about doing a workshop and I’m truly flattered. So, I’ve decided to take some of my vacation time this year and put together a workshop for you.

This workshop will be the popular oil tech talk burner workshop that will get technicians 6 CEU’s toward their bronze, silver or gold certification upon successful completion of their test.



Oil Tech Talk’s Burner workshop will cover:


•Higher combustion efficiency and our job

•Determining & Testing the amount of excess air and why it’s so important

•Stack Temperatures and what we should know about them

•Smoke samples 0 to a trace and when CO is present?

•Chimneys and draft

•The function of nozzles

•Fuel units 1 pipe, 2 pipe, single-stage and two-stage

•Diagnosing with vacuum gauges and pressure gauges how and why

•Transformers and Ignitors testing them safely

•Oil burner primary controls wiring and testing including cad-cells

•Burner fans and air control devices


As an added bonus I’ll discuss installing and troubleshooting power venters, Aquastats (The New Digital Style), primary controls<b><u>(This includes the new Beckett GeniSys)</b></u> and igniters.


By the end of the day you will be ready to hit the road with an arsenal of knowledge and technical data to continue your successful career as a professional oil heat technician!
