Mod/con boiler-will it short cycle if the heat load is too small

All I can say is thank goodness for natural gas or I would be freezing to death naked on a Twister mat waiting for women to knock on the door.

    mod/con boiler

mod/con boiler with only 20 ft of baseboard will the boiler short cycle? Will a buffer tank, hydraulic separator or primary secodary piping help with the problem?
    Thanks for your help, John

    Heater

Is it worth a mod/con in that situation? I'd go with an electric heater, like a Laing EPR 6 or a small gas water heater.

    I agree with Andrew

Your 20 feet of baseboard would emit at most 12 MBH and that would be at 600 BTUH per foot, in the realm of 170F average water temperatures, well above the condensing boilers best performance range.

More than likely the baseboard would emit 120 to 140 BTUH per foot at condensing boiler temperatures, dropping you to the 2,400 to 2,800 BTUH range.

For that load, I would invite a dozen close friends over (at 250 to 300 BTUH each) to play Naked Twister.

Or do what Andrew suggested. Or both. :)

    Ha :)

And your obit would be in The Enquirer :)

I too like your use of plural. Hey, a man can dream right ?

My problem would be getting untwisted, and that's with just one :)

    what is the application...

what boiler would you use? Can you jack up amt.the baseboard used? is this a temporary thing or would this be all the heat you would ever use...futue addition? indirect water heater?
