X valves and 410a

Been changing them like crazy, almost all R22 systems. Parker, Alco the worst!! Tech rep from Allied Air said not unusual to go through them right & left. Local tech rep for A-S said the same thing Tuesday when we were chatting. Had a new Rheem coil with bad Alco TXV, replaced coil, bad Alco TXV. Had an older Sporlan for same coil on hand, it worked. 3rd times a charm :(

I've run into
several jobs lately that have x valve failures. Since I rarely get any problems with x valves I'm wondering if it could be that they have all been 410a systems. Could it be that the x valves have a hard time dealing with the higher pressures, or am I a 410a alarmist? WW
