Have you tried "witching" it yet? Seen alot of well-drillers find leaks at 12-18 feet with a bent welding rod...but, ya gotta believe!

For those of you that are familiar with them.

Do you think they would locate a water leak ouside and about 18"-24" below grade. My return lines to my inground pool are currently leaking. They are buried below grade. Previous owners had built a deck on top of lines. To manually find leak I would need to remove 35' of decking and dig a trench to expose piping. Do you think I would be able to locate leak using a thermal imaging camera. My pool is currently leaking approximately 1.5"/day. We know it is the return lines that are leaking. We just replaced the liner at the end of last season.
Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated. Does any one know where you could rent a camera.
    Thanks

I have a camera, I've never tried what you're asking but I really doubt it will work.
