Geothermal flows and pressure loss - help!

probably be using a buffer tank with the geo. It will act as storage to prevent short cycling and possibly as a hydro separator and air removal device.

One small circ, sized to the load of the air handlers and two zone valves may use less power.

Depending on the flow rates and pressure drop a small multi speed circ on speed 2, maybe speed 1 may be adequate.

    One more Geothermal question

My current system (oil fired boiler) has two hydronic air handlers (attic and basement) and a radiant heat loop (first floor) all controlled with individual Taco pumps. When I re-plumb with the geothermal heat system is it advisable to keep each zone on a separate pump or size one pump for the whole system and use zone valves?

Does it really make any difference?

I'll be switching to Grundfos pumps as well.

    Thanks Everyone!

    Keith
