The Lincoln Cottage

I get a service call that's pretty cool. The newly restored Lincoln Cottage is one of them. I had no idea it existed until I got the call. Apparently the Family spent months at a time away from the White House as a respite from the rigors of the presidency. The expression "getting away" makes me smile as it is less than a mile from the White house. It has just opened and is taking tours already. Many people watched me walk around with my tool bucket as if I were part of the tour experience. I was tempted to put on the old top hat on the top of the coat rack and give them a speech. (Four Score and seven minutes ago, I rewired the EZ trap safety switches that had the A/C locked out.) There are 3 Unico Air Handlers run by 3 Unico Chillers (redundant) located in a remote water tower about 150 feet away from the house. Unico donated the equipment. I wonder what the Lincoln family would have thought of the A/C and low flush toilets. Space age by their standards. http://www.lincolncottage.org/index.htm
