ok here is the deal we are planning on upgraging or heating and a/c it is a church not sure of sguare footage yet but you can guess the main autitorium is 60x80 and there are class rooms offices so at least 12000 sg ft we have oil rad. in the floor boiler is 20 plus years old cost now is $2,000 a month bud. cause oil is 4.29 a gallon ouch! we are hearing a lot about geo themal and others so give me some ideas i am on the committee to look into options thanks royboy(p.s. that cost includes heating 2 other houses 1 boiler is working and doing great just someone has gotten nuts with the cost of oil)

Insulation, insulation, insulation. Then turn off rooms, zones you don't need or aren't using with setback stats or TRVs. Think about radiant for the big high ceiling sort of spaces.
