These <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/05/12/lumetas-peel-and-stick-solar-panels-can-blanket-a-roof-in-under/"target="_blank">Lumeta</a> peel and stick solar panels seem like an interesting idea for flat roofs. Wonder how the cost compares. Obviously the positioning of the panels is less than ideal, so it would take more of them to do the same work. The installation labor looks like it would be a lot less. However, I think they would want to install them only on a new roof because it looks like they would have to find some way to reattach the panels when they replaced the roofing.
