Best Live Albums?

Well, Frampton Comes Alive is till way up there in my book. I remember listening to it as a teenager and getting goose bumps. It's the #4 selling live album of all time and the #1 album in '76.

My all time favorites? #1 for me is Yessongs. I swear I drove that needle right through the record I listened to it so many times. I actually have 2 copies of that LP.

#2 would be Rush's All The World's A Stage. Three guys at the top of their game. Brings back great memories of a time when having fun was all there was.

Siberian Khatru is blistering. I knew I missed hundreds more. Saw Yes at least 7 times, one of the best live acts ever!

Not a big fan of live albums since.......

..... they all lack the energy of actually being there. Four do come to mind, which aren't bad. Pantera's "Official Live 101", Ozzy's "Live and Loud" and Clutch's "Live in Flint, Michigan" are three that I like. My favorite (metal) would be Slipknot's Live 9.0. It actually captures some of the fury of their live shows.

    Yessongs Awesome

Agree with Yessongs. Already have tickets for Mohegan Sun in July. No Rick Wakeman but he's sending in Oliver for the keys. Any chance I get to watch Steve Howe play guitar and I'll be there.

    Coupla others...

Forgot these -- been listening to 'em lately...

The Band -- The Last Waltz and Rock Of Ages

Dylan and The Band -- Before the Flood (Best version of "Endless Highway" and "Stage Fright"

    Dylan -- Hard Rain

Grateful Dead -- Europe '72 and many of the ****'s Pick's volumes

Brian Wilson -- Live At The Roxy

And if you consider this one a 'live album' even though there wasn't and audience -- except for the rooftop sessions -- Let It Be

By now, you all know what I'm going to post:

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band

Live 1975-1985 and Live in New York City

There are a lot of great live albums out there, but these two are the best.
