hope the air handler has slide out room for the fan cage as the motors dont usually last more than ten years

as for you bod con, many have build in freeze protection, how about outside the house as long as you insulate the supply and return pipes well and keep pumps running below 35 you should be ok

    limited access

I am in a quandary. I haven't been able to find this in our state codes yet.

New construction job, has forced air for shoulder month heating and summer cooling. The air handler HAD to go right inside the doorway into the mechanical room. This gives me 18 inches between the stud wall and the line set for the air handler. My gut tells me that we need at least 24 inches of access into the mechanical room. Of course, the boiler is a propane gas fired mod-con.

Any suggestions on where else to look?

    Thanks.

    Appreciate the quick reply

But I don't give a rats rear end about the blower motor on the air handler, even if they do have 24 inches from the front of the AHU to the stud wall.

The is an option to mount it at another location inside the house. The builder and I don't want to move it there if we can get out of it, but it may be necessary. (Our design temps are 21 degrees and we usually don't hit them for long, maybe 8-10 hours at a stretch, maybe 3 times a year)
