piping schematic

I just bought an old 1940 house they supossedly updated every thing. Like two scorched air furnaces, one in the attic blowing down and with the return in the ceiling and one in the finished basement also blowing down. Makes for very warm ceilings and cold feet. This is in late april. Can't wait until winter. Being the wife knows I install a lot of radiant in new houses and remodels she thinks we should also. Very hard in the old house. Basement would be easy, I have been using Roth floor panels with great success. Floor change elavations would not be as hard to deal with and they are preinsulated but I have real plaster walls and ceilings, so I'm not thrilled about taking them down. I might have an opening in that I have a large, sorry to say, poorly insulated attic. In the seventies I worked on a lot of homes in the Denver area with copper in the ceilings, worked well. Any Ideas on hown to attach it to the top side. almn. panels/, talon to the side of joists? I'm open for suggestions before I insulate. Will this be a viable heat source? They advertize it with elec. panels. It worked well back then, but we were at a very higher temp. Thanks for the input.

anybody have a piping/control schematic
for this setup:
Two Viessmann 100's to a Caleffi hydro seperator.
Supply off the LLH to indirect, 5 hydroair zones, and here is where I'm hazy..4 Viega u shaped mixing stations (injection, 4 temp system). The injection stations feed 10 remote manifolds in walls. Let's say 2-3 manifolds off each station. The manifolds have betweeen 3-10 loops each.
Not looking for pipe sizing so much, just component suggestions.
Quick Trac for 6K sq ft of suspended floor, slab for 1400 sq ft of basement. Or, gyp. Or, Warmboard. They want quotes.:)
Object here is to have the stations in the mech room, zoning off the various runs to the manifolds (which would then be subzoned via loop actuators to rooms).
I think Siggy had something like this in some long ago PM article, but I not find.

Big Task
Sounds like a pretty good sized job.
I would probably steer towards a Tekmar TN4 system but double check to make sure the Vito 100 responds for the modulating signal from the Tekmar.
Control schematic would take quite a while to lay out but here is what I think you are describing for the mechanical.
IIRC, the Viega injection stations pull from the primary with a "venturi" type of flow? Not for sure but I show with a dedicated VSIM circ.
Hydro air zones could be run with zone circs or zone valves. Lot's of different options for piping but this is one I would propose.

Thank you so
much, Paul..for taking the time to CAD it. Way cool.
That's what I kinda imagineered, I am having trouble finding the data for the Viega injection stations. I see your injection bridge off the main header to each station. What I am unclear of is how the injection station handles mixing..thru the bridge circ or in the station circ itself. And, is the injection station meant to or strong enough to send flow to multiple satellite manifolds. Viega lists "high head" or "low head" models in their software. I gotta get to the bottom of this. Info is sketchy.
Definitely circs for the 5 hydro zones, and the indirect.
BTW boilers are Vitorond 100 oil, 100K +/- each.
Keep the ideas coming!0 -
Vitorond Oil
Oil fired Vitorond. Since controlling modulation isn't a factor, I would definately recommend the TN4 to control DHW, zone circs, and the injection mixing.
I have not seen the control terminal of the Vitorond Oil, but let me know where you land. Usually a control scheme this advanced will usually get the Tekmar rep involved if you don't want to do it yourself.
