i think warren would turn in his grave if he knew one of his components was running at such a high pressure.
maybe if you crank the pressure down to ounces it will work without rebuilding.
i suggest you get a 0-3 psi gauge from www.gaugestore.com and try 6 OZ. on the vaporstat and it may start working again.--nbc

Warren Webster vent traps
Ineed to rebuild or replce 2 vent traps, Warren Webster #DO23. It has 2, 1"1/4 pipes hooked to it one on the right side and one on the bottom,It also has a 1/2" pipe coming off the top.The steam boiler operates at 3" lbs. of pressure.0 -
The only thing inside a vent trap
is a float that closes the vent hole if the water level gets too high. That's it. You shouldn't need to open it unless the float is stuck closed.
Where does the 1/2" pipe coming off the top go?
