We called their technical assistance department and they wouldn't talk to us because we were not an "authorized service center". I can only imagine what they tell a homeowner!

system 2000 problem/heat manager?
recently was working on a system 2000. it has the classic style system manager. the problem is this the zones are calling for heat on the left side (yellow lights are lit)but the zones are not opening automatically.(no red lights light on the right side). i know the boiler is working properly as it will heat and come up to temp. i can get heat upstairs by using the manual opening on the honeywell zone valves. manual says zones wont open until 140 i believe the boiler is working as it will go to high temp and when i manually open zones burner will restart when temps go below the low temp. the thing that makes me wonder is this the hot water is working but in the manual it says that if priority is set for the hot water then a malfunction in the hot water aquastat won't allow the zones 2-5 to open. i didn't check the hot water aquastat when i was there. what do you think?the only thing i did to this boiler was replace the zone head because the homeowner said that it was malfunctioning.i have also reset the manager a couple times by turning off and restarting any help would be appreciated0 -

You have a Classic manager and evidently you're referencing the instructions for a digital. Unless the return aquastat is a dual, the outputs are based on time, not temperature
Call me if you are still not sure.0 -
Tech Support
Jeff, I'm not sure when you called here for help but I've been here 6 1/2 yrs and we don't refuse to speak to any qualified service person. We don't try to help homeowners who aren't techs for several reasons, the biggest one being liability.
BTW, he called here yesterday and we discussed the problem. Evidently he wants a second opinion.0
