Things are a little slow so here so I find myself goofing off a little. When the temps come up I will be juggling my time again for the A/C side of my business, but in the meantime... I was reminded by one of the performers on American Idol, David Cook, how hot the song "Baba ORiley" by the Who was, so I took the time to learn it on my guitar. Not very hard, just 3 chords. It's the synthesizer that makes it sound so good, however I digress. I am not clear on the words in the middle of the song. I thought it was "Don't cry, Don't brace your eyes. It's only teenage waste land." However one of my sales men sez it's, "Don't raise your eyes." Once I get this cleared up I'll go back to work, honest.

I could swear I had a Who song book way back that had "brace your eyes." because I remember thinking what does that mean?? to brace your eyes and I looked it up in the dictionary. Perhaps I dreamed it. hmmmmm.

Who , they rock and still do 5:15 is one of my favorite songs saw them live right after the Ox died at Greatwoods and it was a great show. Saw Tommy the musical live in Boston years ago my wife was amazed she didn't think she'd like but the orchestra did a great job Lots of guys from the Pops i think filling in.

if you ever get the chance to see Tommy in a classic opera house like The Wang you really must go. Ok so you don't live in Boston relax you can move or at least we'll let you visit.

I saw the Who

back in 76 at the Capital Center in Landover MD. They were high energy to say the least. We were in the front of the back floor section. It was the first lazer light show I had ever seen. A group of bouncers were trying to control some drunken rowdies to the side of us and a fight broke out. It was surreal with the fight and the music going on concurrently as if they were staged. One of the fighters spun off and landed in my date's lap. I grabbed him and threw him off and he was coming back for me when a bouncer grabbed him from behind and I was thankfully spared any further involvement. Whew! WW
