Radiantec-type special...except the red 3/4" (?) pex is a little different. Was that a gas line "plugged" into a steel fitting?

Well, not really..............
but after many hours and many, many thousands of dollars, my client now has a working heating system. The pumps were 9 months old. Before and after..........

Non-barrier pipe..
...no doubt! As always, nice work. Between you and Dan Foley we could make a Hydronics SuperHero movie!

What's the setup with the bronze recirc pumps and the Polish HX for?
Awesome job. Your work is always the same. Excellent with boring regularity.0 -
It would never......
.....work without transfer plates. If a design would've been done originally, it would have showed it.
I believe Azel makes the I Link. It was already there and one of the few pieces I could reuse.
That is a Caleffi Hydrolink. in leu of a low loos header. Room was an issue and the Caleffi supplies and returns all components.

The original tubing....
....was non-barrier, as JB stated. There are also two zones of fin tube supplied with it and the tubing snaked through the building to feed them. Not practical ($$) to tear down walls to replace with barrier tube, so the HX and bronze pumps seemed to make the most sense.0 -
caution....
Pic 232 shows the tubing extremely close to the can light. Hate to see water running out of the can light. Been there, seen that was not pretty...

232 vs 240
I think the 232 was taken prior to the re-work. Photo 240 show the same area after the magic was done.0 -
Nice
Nice Save, HB. Was this a "pro" job or a DIY? I hope your client appreciates what you have done. -DF

Yah
That pretty much sums him up.
Better than being boring with excellent regularity0 -
Gotcha...
THat is what I get for blowing through the thread like a Texas Tornado...
In our situation, we didn't read the lighting plan (non existent) and the sparky parked a can light directly below our tubes. Made a hell of a mess when she cut loose.

No DIY job......
.... the owner hired the builder, who purchased it and then had one of his guys install it. So, I guess that makes it a "pro" install since money changed hands.
I'm sure he'll apprciate me next winter :-)
Thanks everyone for the kind words. With the bar raising work I see you guys post here, it is always in my mind's eye when I visualize the end before I start.
