    What makes the electron spin? Where does the force comes from that makes this happen?

    I do not even think einstein knew the answer to this?

    sounds like "what is the origin of the atom?"

    another question is "why do atoms never seem to loose their energy? do they collapse at absolute zero?

    i guess a similar question is, why do planets spin?

    Ahhhhh The atom.

    There are many ways to explain these forces. Its a mystical force of nature. The one book that helped me to get it was In Search of Schrödinger's Cat. It is a book on quantum theory written for average Joes. Anyhow, you only need to read the first chapter and its like Whoa Lightbulb time.
