410a

Justed replied to a person on the ask ac side on Dan's Wall. Dont know this man, but he thinks I am un profesional. Mearly stated a fact Jack that alot of cooling coils will work and now are aprroved to work with 410a. Most Major players made provisions years ago to design their coils to be converted from R22 to 410a. I stay on top of my skills and the changes made. I try to let most ingnorant comments roll off my back. It really makes me a little hot under the collar when someone starts attacking me because of either their stupidty or ignorance. If any one out there does not think that a 13 seer coil with a tx valve made by trane, carrier or mortex that can not handle r22 or 410a call them.

Peace Be With You

    You have nothing to

lower your head about, David. I have found a short while ago that what you said was true, that coils were made with a "look-ahead" to potential refrigerant types (Puron/410A being but one), and a TX valve change-out among other features of course.

Naturally anyone with common sense knows that what you said is a general statement. Any thinking person knows that and one does not evacuate and re-charge without verifying the details for that particular system; you did not have to state that to make your factual point.

Anyone who takes you to task for that is not worth getting upset about.
  • What is this 410A...

    of which you speak?

    Juuust kidding... ;)

  • Wow...

I have ~ 100 lbs in stock and I don't use a whole heck of a lot so that's a big surprise to me. Thanks for the heads up!

  • That's the net...

You just have to let that stuff slide right off your back to survive. My first introduction was the great "World vs Kasparov" internet chess game. There was a spot where, Kasparov's Queen was in danger very early in the game. I'm a fun loving guy so I post, "Garry, give the world a chance, give us your Queen!" the conflagration that came back at me from members of the world "team" that followed was, uh,,, frightening to say the least. So was the extensive computer analysis posted by countless people but that's another story. I told them point blank after that, Garry WROTE or at least had a hand in most of those programs, so to try to use them against him was futile, therefore they had no chance. More conflagration followed but I'd had my say. I know they dragged the poor guy through weeks of useless moves near the end trying to gain at least a draw or stalemate instead of capitulating. Don't recall how it turned out. I'll see if it's still around.

PS, $5 says I got a chuckle out of Garry with it. ;)

Here is an excerpt from Wiki. Krush and "the World" pulled this move right after I made my "You have to make an unorthodox move to throw a chess program off" speech. I felt like she got my point. Read down at the bottom what it says about how the team was "cooperating" at that point. That's about when I bowed out: (The World lost BTW, interesting read at Wiki)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kasparov_versus_The_World

    "10...Qe6!

Black finally secured the opportunity to castle but refused to be so defensive. This move was a novelty by the World Team, i.e. a move which had never before been played in a recorded game. Krush discovered and analyzed the move, and enlisted Paehtz to recommend it as well, to give it a better chance of winning the vote. Their combined advocacy, plus much discussion on the bulletin board, was enough to gain it 53% of the vote. After this move, MSN requested that the four official analysts not coordinate with each other, perhaps to ensure a greater variety of recommendations. The analysts worked in isolation from each other thereafter[citation needed].

By this point in the game, several aspects of the cooperation within the World Team had become apparent:

    * It was clear from a look at the voting results that, although the World Team was managing to pick theoretically correct moves, many rank amateurs were voting as well. Demonstrably bad moves were garnering a significant percentage of the votes; even worse, on move 12, about 2.4% of the voters chose illegal moves which didn't get the World Team out of check. (MSN declined to release the raw vote totals, but apparently over five thousand people were voting on each move.)[citation needed]

    * The World Team was not coordinating well with itself on the bulletin board. Typical posts were brash, emotionally heated, and confrontational, and profanity flowed freely. Much more energy was being spent on flame wars than on analysis."

    Hello Dave:

Dont forget Heil, York etc... I have never have, (when consulting manufacturers) problems converting over with special care to rid the system of the origional oil in the system with R-22 since it will react withe the oil in the 410 -A . A simple perge process will get the system ready, Ad you TXV prefferably Ext. Equalized and away you go.
