OT - '95 - '00 Toyota Tacomas

My truck's been in Central Ma where they use plenty of road salt, which allegedly exacerbates the rust. Look it over real good, but I would bring it to a dealer no matter what - Toyota's buying them back for pin holes that you may never find.

The pics are of the inside vertical plane of the frame rails and of the frame just in front of my passenger side rear leaf spring mount. From the vantage point of looking at the frame from "outside" the truck - you never would have known this much damage was there.

Tacoma Frame Rust Extended Warranty

For any of you that own a '95-'00 Tacoma (especially where the roads are treated with salt in the winter), please read these documents. These trucks are being bought back by Toyota (if they have rust perforation on the frames) for 1.5 x KBB Suggested Retail Price with actual mileage but excellent condition regardless of actual condition. My '99 with 136k miles looks and runs perfectly - but once I looked underneath I made an appointment for inspection. It is now at the dealer and i am awaiting an offer while driving a rental for free

Thanks for the heads up! My 99 has 162K on it. I'll be looking under it in the am. Where has yours primarily been driven?
