Triangle Tube Solo 60

I'm looking forward to the day when we have this size boiler with 10:1 turndown.

I wonder why they don't do it like the big boys. Aerco has a light off point at 20% and will then modulate down to 14%.

I wonder if residential boilers could do the same for a little extra turndown.

It says only 47mbh out??? that does not compute

If it is rated at 95% the doe output should be quite a bit higher than that. That only shows to be about 80%. Whats up with that???? Tim

That's cool... I could use 3 of them right now!! The 110 is slightly too large for 60% of our business

It would appear to be a classic typo. I imagine that it should read on output of 57 rather than 47 heating MBH. 57/60=95% I like this new capacity boiler too.

    I've

been pestering them for something like this from day one. Really fills a gap for me too. WW

    Turndown

The IBC VFC 15-150 has a 10:1 turndown with a similar minimum to the Solo 60. However, the price is definitely higher than a Solo 110. I have yet to see one in person, but the VFC boiler looks like a very interesting product to me. I like the max output for DHW production with a low minimum modulation for space heating.

Quite an interesting machine! Looks like a Freq drive for a 100 HP electric motor!
