Saw an item hidden in the ceiling of a late 1920's home (not too far from the boiler). Too much stuff around it to get a photo. The labeling embossed on the iron housing was "Teesball(?) Manufacturing Company, Grand Rapids, MI, Patent May 16(?), 1926". The item was cylindrical (about 6" diameter and 12" tall - general shape was similar to an an oil filter on steroids), with a 3/8" tubing connection on the bottom (now disconnected and capped. There was also an electrical connection at the top.
I have no idea on what this was used for - any thoughts?
Regards,
Tony Shupenko
