Do ya see a pattern here? Does Munchkin ever have another fault code or is it just the F09. Man, put in a Prestige or a Buderus GB142 you don't see a negative post here regarding those brands.

It turned out to be the circuit board being corroded due to the concentric vent allowing the intake to suck in exhaust, causing the corrosion. Many thanks to Rich Swanton for coming by to straighten me out. I highly recommend him if you are having a Munchkin problem, he really knows a ton about them. I would recommend you use him for an install if you are in need of someone to do that type of work..

As a seasoned Munchkin distributor, I have had to deal with my share of F09 faults. Many of these faults were caused by the boilers not levelled properly(you may think the floor is level, but it usually isn't. This scenario can cause excessive "steaming" of collected condensate in the front of the heat exchanger (can't drain if it isn't level or graded slightly to the rear) or enough collected condensate to eventually flood or foul the rectification probe. Corrective action; level the unit, clean the probe and boiler (if necessary). As well, the boilers do require regular cleaning as the manual instructs. In most cases, you are bringing in outside air which can laden with dust and dirt particles which end up in the combustion chamber which is hot & humid = muddy looking pellets.
    Good Luck!
