Help sizing Heat Exchangers

Call your Taco rep, check with your local supply house, or even check Taco's website. I believe the website has a sizing program on it. I use the guys at Emerson Swan, they are awesome at their job. Yes they cost more than the others, but when you can call them and tell them what you want to do, they know how to take care of you. I have tried FIA, that sell B&G HX, but last time I tried they couldn't help me size one correctly.

I've been working designing layouts for radiant systems with PEX for about a year now. I've slowly been gaining more knowledge and expanding my designs to facilitate a complete system. Usually I can ask one of my co-workers for help sizing certain components, unfortunately though none of them can tell me a method for sizing a flat plate or tube type heat exchanger.

I know there are probably quite a few variables about project in question and the type of heat exchanger. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I don't even know where to start in all honesty ^_^;; Any pointers at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-

Have rep for armstrong or B&G or Danfoss size them up

You will need to have you design criteria, flow rate, cold side entering water temp, hot side water entering and delta t desired, also btu transfer requirements. Then they will punch into sizing program and give you all the data.
