OH MAN
I must be getting old. I find it hard to believe that the 2007 songs will go down in history like the ones from the 60's. Or that most of the artists will be remembered even 2 years from now. Buy U A Drank? Gimme a break.
Of course, I'm sure my father felt the same way. He called all the music I listened to "Kook" music.
I am trying to keep on top of all that happens with music, not the "People Magazine" events, but the actual music. I have a tough time with Rap, and never been much of a country fan.0 -
And honey I miss you...
(booo hooo hooooooo) and I'm being good (sniff sniff)...
LOL...
What's a "Shawty Snappin" ?0 -
Shawty Snappin'?
Oh dat bee hydronic-chronic guru T-Pain and Yung Joc... X-plainin' loopy lengths in relationship to pump sizing yo!
Best lyric ever:
Havin' my baby
What a lovely way of sayin'
How much you love me
Peace Out Y'all0 -
Yikes
Suddenly I feel ill. Every day cars go by the house with their "boom boxes' rattling all the dishes in our cabinets. And this is in rural farm country. In the 70's when I grew up, I'm positve the neighbors couldn't hear my rock and roll!!! well... maybe they did Maybe if oil goes high enough these kids won't be able to afford to drive by my house. Always looking for a silver lining0 -

speaking of country music, do you know what you get if you play a country song backwards? You get your dog back, your truck back, and your girlfriend back.0 -
And
you get your job back, your house back, your daddy gets out of jail and you get sober.

I knew
I knew about every song from the gold old days. NOT ONE from 2007!0 -
Tend To...
Enjoy listening to the late fifties, sixties and early seventies music on my way home after work. Tends to unwind me from a stressful day (usually a minimum of 35 minutes driving)

Hey Rick
Looking back at the 1969 list, I've always heard that Sugar, Sugar was the #1 song of that year. Maybe that's from another rating service.
Were did your info come from?

One For The Charts - Dark Side of the Moon - Facts
The Dark Side of the Moon spent 741 consecutive weeks (14 years) on the USA-based Billboard 200 album chart, the longest duration of any album in history. It is the fourth highest selling album globally of all time, selling more than forty million units. In addition to its commercial success, The Dark Side of the Moon is often considered to be the group's defining work, and is still frequently ranked by music critics as one of the greatest and most influential albums of all time.
It is estimated that one in every fourteen people in the U.S. under the age of fifty owns or owned a copy of this album. I for one am listening to it right now.
It's amazing that people from this generation are still buying this record!
