What is wetstock?

Steve,
I attended 3 wetstocks over the past several years. You will learn a lot about hydronics, marketing, controls and much much more. You will meet a lot of the people that constantly contribute on this site. You will be made to feel very comfortable discussing these issues and will gain more knowledge in 8 hours and friendships that you will have ever thought possible. Dan is the glue that sticks this all together and conducts the gathering from point to point like a maestro (maybe some one needs to get him one of those stick thingys).
I will miss this one, but would not hesitate to go to any future ones. Plan to get there early (day or two) as sometimes they schedule little side trips in conjunction with the Saturday Seminar. In Baltimore we went to the Burnham Factory in Lancaster PA, In Minneapolis we went to the Wirsbo (now upinor) factory, where they rolled out the red carpet for a contractors day.
You might even get tagged with a new nickname. I picked up one in Baltimore when sitting with a bunch of new friends I had just met the nite I got in, I remembered I needed to call my wife to let her know I made it to Baltimore safely. So at 2am I whipped out the cel phone and called her. They were all in shock at first because they thought she would kill me for calling at 2am. Of course as you can see it was only 10pm at home and not a problem. Since then I am known as "Alaska Time".

What is wetstock??
Have heard it brought up many times, but never been something I have been to myself, or know of anyone in my area who has. I'm in Alaska.
May try to plan far enough ahead some year to come.
Is it seminars and the sort? somewhat of a trade show?
By the way its talked about it, (going out west) it must be mainly you East coast guys, headed to what I consider the midwest?
Any fellow Alaskans been to it?

Picture
a big room with good food and drink in the middle. Around the foot are 20 round tables, each tagged for a different topic. We change the topics as the day goes on. Anyone can sit anywhere and talk about whatever they'd like. There are no seminars, moderators, time limits, and people come and go as they please. Around the perimeter of the room we have 20 informal table top displays by some of the best manufacturers around. That part is for inspiration and conversation.
All the money raised goes to breast cancer research.
Pat Clark from Alaska has been to most of them. We'll miss him this time.Retired and loving it.0 -
Hi Dan
When is the Wetstock in Denver? I have e-mailed you before about advertising on the Wall, but I forgot what the cost is or how to do it. Could you tell me again please? I am importing a product from Germany and I have a web site now. I want to promote this product and web site here or is there any thing I can do at the next Wetstock? If you want so check it out www.baunach-usa.com I look forward hearing back from you.
Thank you,
Ted0 -

Hey Pat Clark
You are going to miss out on the maple syrup this time if you don't get Dan to bid it up for you. Since I can't carry that much liquid in my carry on luggage I am shipping it to whoever bids the highest LOL Ruthe0 -
Wetstock
is this Saturday, Ted. There are no plans for another at this point. We'll see.
I'd be happy to hear more about the new venture. Please email me at mailroom@heatinghelp.com and I'll give you some ad options. Thanks.Retired and loving it.0 -
maple syrup
was already planning on that. Finally ran out last year and someone picked up a small jar for me from New Jersey area I think, wasn't as good. If Dan will bid for me again and I am successful (which I plan to be)I'll send you a check for the shipping (not cheap to here). Wish I could be there and get to see you - big hug!! Maybe someday I can get down there for the Big Ugly at your place

one of the best years
for maple syrup production in a long time in our area. Would love to have you come for the BU some year. Ruthe0 -
Next Wetstock.
We'll probably do it again, but I don't know when or where. Thanks.Retired and loving it.0
