Viessmann 100-W

Im installing a my first Viesmann 100-W boiler. It shows the circ pump on the return side. I've heard that it is better to put the pump on the supply side. What do you guy's think? Also It is diffcult to tighten the piping connections to the boiler. The connections have no place to put a back up wrench under the unit where the connection are. The location for the place to put the back up wrench is inside the unit and the plastic control box could very easily be broken. Thanks
